CORE studio at Thornton Tomasetti, host’s of the annual AEC Tech, are pleased to announce that we are taking the AEC Tech Hackathon to Seattle! Join us for our first AEC Tech 2019: West Coast Hackathon on Friday, March 29 – Sunday, March 31, 2019, at UW Center for Education and Research in Construction.
AEC Tech is an annual event spanning four days which include workshops, symposium, and hackathon with the goal to produce a space for creative minds to build new technology, learn skills, and foster connections with like-minded individuals. The annual four-day experience takes place in New York City every year during the fall and the Hackathon travels at least once a year within the United States. Our first west coast Hackathon is made possible by our partnership and collaboration with Robert McNeel & Associates!
AEC Tech 2019: Seattle will be a three-day event featuring a day of masterclasses by industry professionals, a mini-symposium, and a 26-hour hackathon!
We are offering masterclasses on Friday, March 29th from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Masterclasses are designed to teach participants new skills and build on existing ones that can be immediately applied to the Hackathon. We will conclude the event on Friday with a ‘Mini-Symposium’ featuring talks from local professionals on current updates in the industry.
The Hackathon will take place from Saturday, March 30th to Sunday, March 31st. Team formations will begin on Friday, March 29th at 5:00 pm and project pitches will happen the same day at 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. AEC Tech Hackathon is an event for all levels of programmers, developers, engineers, architects, and others, additionally, it is aimed for attendees to collaborate, network, build new relationships, and generate new ideas and processes for the AEC community.
