Ronnie Parsons is a founding partner and Director of Education at Mode Lab, a multidisciplinary design and consulting firm servicing a global network of creative organizations. At Mode Lab, Ronnie uses analytic tools and generative techniques to help clients establish a clear understanding of the obstacles they are facing in today’s ever-changing marketplace. Before founding Mode Lab, Ronnie received his Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas at Arlington. Ronnie has interlaced numerous studies abroad throughout his education, including The Architectural Association, The Institute for Experimental Architecture, and The University of Applied Sciences. Since 2007 he has been a faculty member at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.
SKILLS & TOPICS: Ronnie’s experience with computational tools extends to a variety of parametric and script-based environments, including: Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python, and Processing. Ronnie is interested in topics that address the gap between design ideation and performance-driven applications. This includes the integration of environmental, material, and manufacturing performance criteria into conceptual design development processes and tools.
